Is my loft suitable for conversion?
The main thing is head height. Around 2.2 metres from the top of the ceiling joists to the ridge is usually enough. We measure this at the free site visit and tell you straight away.
Will I lose a bedroom to the new staircase?
Normally not. The new stair usually sits above the existing one or takes a small corner of a bedroom or landing. We plan it with you at the drawing stage.
How long does a loft conversion take?
Most take 6 to 10 weeks on site. We work from outside wherever possible so disruption inside the house is kept to a minimum.
